About
Tara Averill arrived in New York City at 19 and never left. Before the agency, she was an East Village actress and a bartender at Live Bait. Twenty-seven years in sales and marketing followed, work she describes as “seeing what’s true about a person before they see it themselves, and getting the world to see it as well.”
In 2011, at 39 and a single co-parent, she founded RepresentationCo, the boutique talent management firm she still runs today. She is a former founder and CEO of Splitsville, a divorce-support platform covered by Vogue and profiled with her in The New York Times.
She runs the agency alongside Legacy of Loud, the podcast she co-hosts with her daughter Fiona; Joy Joy Joy, a private network for women; 1:1 coaching; and a memoir about mother hunger, addiction, and love. She lives in Brooklyn with her now college-aged children, Fiona and Liam, and spends her free time watching her son play D1 rugby and hyping her daughter, and Legacy of Loud co-host, Fiona Averill’s Substack, Frankly, Fiona.
